Moonshadow or (The Lunar Month)

After receiving a phone call from her partner Joe about not having her menstruation for over a month (but not being pregnant), a trans woman, Jo, wanders alone from morning to night on the beach. She contemplates the idea of universal womanhood and femaleness, and her relationship to her own genitals. She glances up at the moon and ponders the affinity between the moon, the sun and the earth. She decides that she wishes to cut off her own penis. However, when she takes off her underwear to swim in the sea, her knickers are filled with blood.
