Organisational structure and supply chains
This statement covers the business activities of Nelly Ben Hayoun Studios Ltd. and Tour de Moon Ltd which are as follows:
Founded in 2009, Nelly Ben Hayoun Studios designs experiences for you to become an astronaut in your living room while dark energy is being created in your kitchen sink and a volcano erupts on your couch. We are an interdisciplinary design studio which devises subversive events, experiences and feature-length films. We work on multimedia, highly ambitious projects to empower countercultures and communities by building platforms for them to challenge power structures, while also allowing for change and critical thinking through multi-faceted immersive experiences. The team of architects, graphic designers, textile designers, philosophers and more are based in an artist collective in a train carriage on top of a nightclub.
Plurality is one of our core tenet and this means that this is also the way and mean by which we structure our studio. Each of us empower different craft and communities in our projects. Edna Pletchero, our head of music for example, also run apprentice initiatives for youths all around the UK,while working on all our music collaborations and stage design for bands such as Sigur Ros, Shabazz Palaces and others. We support the training of youths, through the University of the Underground,a charity we founded in 2017;which support free, pluralistic and transnational education.
