Fly Away is the prelude to a cosmic voyage that seeks to find worlds known only to our subconscious, inspired by Sun Ra’s Afrofuturistic visions. It begins and ends with water as a representation of life, possibility, journeys and cleansing. Building on a piano improvisation, this journey floats towards new modes of being and strives to move away from embedded languages, ideas and possibilities that remain limited to the earth, instead seeking new heights and possibilities in worlds known only to our subconscious. Piano, bass, vibraphone, water and voice all unite in the soundtrack to this new world. Celestial dreaming takes its form through grooves that allow our bodies to dance, laugh and love through beautiful and dream-like spaces.
