Synopsis:
The moon is a universal creative lens to look at herbs and healing in more detail. While we tend to use telescopes to see the moon, this film is an attempt to use the moon itself as a telescope to look back at earth, dirt, and what grows around us. The lunar influence on herbalism is long documented — affecting soil moisture, seed germination and working astrologically to guide herbalists in when to plant, harvest, stir and rest. The film aims to share this connectedness present within herbal practices. The moon encapsulates the way in which herbs are in conversation with matters beyond earth, and how different cultures make ritual out of this magic.
