Bio: 

Lydia Brickland is a writer, performer, burlesque artist and all-round bad bitch, from Gateshead in the North East of England. She likes to tell stories about big complex issues in a fun, lively and accessible way. Her work is humorous, playful and infused with radical kindness. She is also one of the founding members of Newcastle based, all female-comedy collective ‘Your Aunt Fanny’. 

Synopsis:

Ice Cream Van Fucker

Tammy and Jess meet on the sea front to catch up, after not seeing each other over the summer. Tammy has been in summer school at Durham University. As the first in her family to go to uni, she has serious imposter syndrome. Jess isn’t going back to school after the holidays, and has been spending the summer with her slightly older boyfriend. As the two talk it becomes clear that Jess isn’t happy in her relationship. Ice Cream Van Fucker explores classism, consent and female friendship
