Bio:
Kes Eccleston is an Afro Caribbean artist based in London. Their practice over the past year has been devoted to working within the mediums of film, photography and sound. Kes is interested in the relationship between the individual and the community, as well as issues regarding race, subjectivity, and spirituality and culture.
Synopsis:
MANY MOONS AGO (WIP)
The film is an exploration of the moon's spirited and rhythmic nature. Divided into four chapters, the story explores the moon’s influence on the magic and dynamism of blackness, motherhood and African spirituality. It aims to highlight and explore the moon's relationship with ancestors of the past, the nomads of the present, and, hopefully, find the keys to what the moon may hold in the future .
