Jodie Powell

Jodie is an artist, musician and producer. After graduating from Edinburgh College of Art in 2013, she developed her live painting and performance art practice from producing multi-disciplinary art parties in basements in London to her own 24-hour arts festival in a secret woodland location, Aespia, which won The Association of Independent Festival’s ‘New Festival on the Block’ award in 2018.

Through Aespia, Jodie runs Aespia School of Art, producing areas with music stages, installations, performances and workshops at festivals such as Meadows in the Mountains, Bestival, Camp Bestival, Noisily and Latitude, and amplifies the voices and art forms of those who have a harder time finding space on stage, through The Glass Theatre.

Most recently, Jodie has set up Rooted Revelry - a storytelling, poetry and live music collective - in Ibiza and London, and just begun writing, recording and performing her own music and poetry, through Cairn Calls.

Jodie is in her element producing memorable, meaningful moments that encourage people to express and accept themselves through community, collaboration, creativity and connection.
