Bio:
Issi Nanabeyin is an artist based in London. Issi's work questions cultural separation through architectural reimagination. His work asks to be misinterpreted, to fabricate questioning and provoke discoveries of new readings that unsettle ‘normal’ cultural and racial binaries, always with the aim of trying to build the conversation between differences.
AlterNative is a young multi-disciplinary collective, whose practice often breaches boundaries and calls for disobedience. They are a group of visual, spatial and sonic artists whose work invites people to dream in new lands, curves and graphite strokes, whilst looking to future dialects and new visions.
Synopsis:
This short film is created from visual and sonic recordings of ‘alien’ interactions in everyday London, to imagine a future landscape where different species communicate with one another, love each other and grow together. A collaboration of sound and architecture acts as a contemporary celebration and reimagination of cross-cultural landscapes.
