Irene Suosalo (b. 1995) is a video artist mainly focusing on experimental animation. Originally from the countryside of Finland, she studied photography at Lahti Institute of Design. During studies she started working as a VJ at local techno clubs and festivals. Since then she has been endlessly exploring animation combining old and new techniques.
Her work consists of art, commissioned works and music videos. She has exhibited internationally and her video installation is included in the collection of The Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma. She regularly works as a freelance illustrator for The New York Times.
