Rooted in the politics of union organisation and committed to destigmatising sexual labour, CYBERTEASE is a performance collective that produces provocative and political striptease events. From pop-up lap dancing clubs and intimate private parties, to hedonistic club nights and conceptual performances, they bring a delicious blend of dance, art, and erotic entertainment from professional sex workers.
The collective was founded in March 2020 as a direct response to the closure of strip clubs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. CYBERTEASE have since produced over 30 online and live events, providing a platform and income to over 80 international sex workers. They are proud to function as a workers’ co-op, with all proceeds being split equally between organisers and performers. By seizing the means of production, they propose a model for sex work that puts the power and profit back in the hands of the worker.
