Bio:

Alexis is an interdisciplinary storyteller and artist based across the North West. Using a blend of text, tech and animation she explores her lived experience of sexuality, mental illness and racial injustice. A self-taught animator and long-time fan of spoken word, she aims to highlight voices and perspectives that often go unheard.

Madness and the Moon

Madness and the Moon — they’ve been linked for centuries. We have been taught for centuries that lunacy equals bad. However, in the distant future, scientists have finally heard the moon’s voice. Every year there is a celebration to embrace our renewed relationship to nature and to our minds. So join us in a celebration of lunacy, as we create a new history for madness. An experimental, multimedia animated poem; blending spoken word, live action and projection into a unique exploration of our relationship to mental health.
